Our emotions are the nexus where our mind, spirit, and hearts meet and overlap with the unconscious, subconscious, and conscious realms.

This 15-hr online course explores yogic, buddhist, and western perspectives on emotions, emotional intelligence, communication and relationships. Learn an integrated approach to emotions that speaks to all levels and layers of our being and bridges ancient wisdom and modern psychology and neuroscience.

YOGIC TOOLS FOR STRESS MANAGEMENT

The classical practice of yoga offers sophisticated tools for diaphragmatic breathing which impacts the stress response, and has a positive impact on the nervous system and brain.

Learn the anatomy of breathing, how to breathe with the diaphragm, and tools and tips to integrate simple, effective, and scientifically-validated breathing exercises to manage stress, conflict, uncertainty, and chaos.

Yoga offers unparalleled practices for eliciting the relaxation response. Learn about the various brain states of beta, gamma, alpha and theta and how to enter into deep states of relaxation.

This workshop also covers the impact of digital technologies on the nervous system, our circadian rhythms, and our sense of time and strategies for how to interact with technology in a way that doesn’t negatively impact our health.

Prices range from $625 – $2495 depending on the size of the group, virtual or in-person, length of workshop, and workshop theme.

Farah Nazarali, B.A., M.A., R.Y.T. is a yoga teacher with over 14 years of experience. She has delivered dozens of workshops for government agencies, unions, non-profit organizations, Neighbourhood Houses, businesses, and educational institutions.

Farah is a respected and admired teacher in the Yoga community andcurrently serves as Faculty for several Yoga Teacher Training programs.

In addition to leading workshops at Hollyhock Leadership Learning Centre, Salt Spring Centre of Yoga, and Xenia Creative Development Centre, Farah is a pioneer in integrating Eastern wisdom with conflict resolution skills and non-violent communication.
